The PHSF organized and hosted the first ever Greyhound Gala and helped clubs and organizations within Pope raise over $38,500!

The PHSF successfully implemented a BRAND new front entrance to Pope?  We raised over $60,000 towards this major and much needed improvement.  The landscaping was completed by December, and the marquee LED and sponsorship signs were added in first quarter 2009.  Additional monies to support this effort will be funded by other ongoing income.

Landscaping Facelift

Fall 2008

The time has finally arrived....for Pope to have a "facelift!"  We are definitely overdue on updating our school grounds.

The Foundation is spearheading a landscaping overhaul that will involve the front entrance and areas surrounding the front of the building.

Classroom Technology

May 2008

Thanks to a recent donation of $15,376, the Foundation was able to purchase 62 Interwrite boards for teachers to use in their classroom!  Now virtually every teacher at Pope will have this superb technology available when classes begin in August. This really puts Pope teachers in the forefront of classroom technology....and our students are the beneficiaries!

Interactive lessons make for much more interesting classroom experiences across all subjects.  Imagine being able to link to a specific National Geographic website during a science lecture, or to a detailed diagram of the circulatory system during an anatomy class, or to edit a piece of writing online so that everyone in the class can see it...the possibilities are limited only by our teachers' imaginations.

Theater Renovation Project Almost Completed!

May 2008

Finally the theater renovation project is almost complete! The next time you are at Pope, stop by and see the freshly painted walls, the new seats, the new floor and the new curtains!  Still to be installed are the back stage curtains and a mounted projection unit.  We anticipate that this will happen over the summer.

Remember, there are still seats available to sponsor!  If you would like to recognize that special student or teacher, or simply acknowledge your support of Pope by sponsoring a seat, please contact us!  Your name, favorite phrase or acknowledgment can be printed on 'your' seat plate and permanently installed in the theater.

Annual Golf Tournament

March 2008

Our annual Golf Tournament and silent auction raised $13,000!   Thank you to all those who participated and contributed to this effort. These funds will go a long way to helping us support our  mission!

Theater Seat Renovation Project

February 2, 2008

FINALLY the Theater Seat Project is underway!

Last week, the supplier was officially notified and the seats are now in production.  The scheduled installation for the new seats and flooring is targeted for April 2008.

The Foundation is currently working with the Pope Fine Arts department and administration to assess other needs within the theater to determine what, if any, other improvements will be possible.
